 Grey is Eric Anderson, a multi-instrumentalist specializing in modular synthesis, sampling/sequencing and bass. The name is fitting for the music which blurs a lot of lines between ambient electronica, folk song writing, and noise. The music results from experimentation but the composition is purposeful. The style captures rich minimalist patterns and textures that drives lush, droning beds of beautiful ambient harmony. While stark and pensive, the music is gripping and hopeful. A very unique artist whose name could seem like an intentional understatement.
